2026.12

What’s New:

  • On sale notifications (BETA) for large movie releases you have on your Watchlist.

  • Revamped Home Tab. All the data you love, but now you can also see your upcoming , watchlisted , and previously seen movies. Right on the Home Screen. You can also see Feat and Milestone progress, and swipe through each section’s charts and figures. Fully revamped and new charts everywhere. Now Playing now shows you more of the info you need to see before a movie and offers quick links to concessions, ratings, and tags. Hide what you don’t want to see, and reorder however you like.

  • Added support for Mystery Screenings. Log a movie as a Mystery Movie and enter what it was after the fact. Just tap the button under the trending movie list to get started.

  • Retired tag types. Mystery, Rerelease, and Early Access are now intelligently toggled (with the user being able to change them, of course). This should help keep stats more accurate. Your old tags are still there, and you are free to continue using them as well. People tags are now entered under the additional ticket section on the entry form.

  • Share function on the Watchlist tab to easily share which of each month’s releases you plan to see.

  • New flow during entry to help keep auditorium specs up to date.

AMC Only

  • E-Mail Imports (BETA) Forward your tickets straight to the app and have your tickets automatically added. Setup auto forwarding and it all happens automatically.

  • App will now prompt you to link your AMC theaters to actual AMC data. This will allow the app to pull showtimes, pre-fill tickets, and populate every screen in that theater on the Screens tab with the auditorium format and seating type. It will also automatically update as upgrades in the theater happen.

  • See showtimes at your theaters from the Screens or Watchlist tab. Tap one to log it to Reel Savings or link straight to that showtime on AMC’s website.

  • From the AMC app. Share a ticket with Reel Savings using the iOS share sheet. It will pre-fill a new entry with Time, Date, Theater, Format, Auditorium, and Ticket Price. All that is left to enter is your seat and if you purchased extra tickets.

  • The app will notify you when your theaters get an upgrade such as IMAX to IMAX with Laser, or a conversion of an auditorium to 4DX. It will also let you know if your standard auditoriums upgrade to Laser.

Enhancements:

  • The theater list in the entry form will now lead off with your default theater, then your last 3 used, then the rest of your theaters.

  • Live Activity is now more dynamic with different stages before, during, and after the movie. It will now also auto dismiss 10 minutes after a movie ends.

  • Added support to log which seats additional tickets belong to. These will be surfaced in multiple places, such as Live Activites.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused a tap or click to watchlist an item to appear to not work when on the iPad or MacOS in table view mode.

  • Fixed an issue on the watchlist where a movie may show in the limited release section when it has a wide release date already set and your display mode is set to use wide release dates. Now movies will only show in the Limited Release section if they have no wide date.
