Exclude Entry from RU Milestones

Regal Unlimited does not count repeat viewings of the same movie in the same format towards RU milestones (e.g. seeing The Odyssey in IMAX twice). Over time our Reel Savings milestone count can get out of sync with the actual RU milestone count. A toggle to “Exclude from RU Milestones” when entering/editing a logged entry would allow RU milestones in the Achievements area to remain in sync with our actual RU milestone count, while still including the logged entry in our overall RU membership and film totals.

Do you know what all they count as a different format? I just want to get it right. Is 3D considered a different format (for standard or something like IMAX)? Do you know if they treat IMAX 70mm as a separate format. If you happen to know will you let me know? If not I'll start doing some research and get this fix put in.

According to Regal’s milestone program page, “Watching the same movie in multiple formats will allow you to receive additional counts. Qualifying formats are: 2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and RPX.” (https://www.regmovies.com/promotions/unlimited-milestones) Film formats are a little complicated because RU used to include 70mm (5 perf) and IMAX 70mm (15 perf) up through Project Hail Mary, but then excluded those formats from RU entirely starting with The Odyssey. Now those formats are full price purchase only, including for RU members. So, for this year, my IMAX 70mm Project Hail Mary entry should be included toward my RU milestones but my IMAX 70mm entry for The Odyssey would not (since it was excluded from RU membership to begin with). I hope that provides a bit more context. Thanks for looking into this!

Hi Rick! I updated my comment above to include the following information from https://www.regmovies.com/promotions/unlimited-milestones

Perfect. That’s exactly what I was needing to track down.

I should also add that I love the new “Achievements”. It does so much (and more!) of what I wish the actual Regal app could do. Thanks again for your excellent work!
